Fundraising Fun!
Setting their stalls out and weathering the storm
We have had two great successes in challenging circumstances with our recent fundraising events.
The stalls event in Kettlewell on Saturday, December 4, could not be held in the Lychgate due to the wet weather, so it was moved inside St Mary’s Church, where visitors could chose from many different homemade jams, cakes, Christmas puddings, and other culinary treats, plus other items such as cards, and a raffle. The event made a remarkable £814 on the day, but that is set to rise to more than £900 thanks to sales of items afterwards.
The Littondale Craft Fair took place amidst the disruption caused by Storm Arwen, with some visitors to Amerdale Hall happy to get a hot drink during the loss of power in the area. Not only did the younger visitors get the chance to meet Father Christmas, but the event raised £220.55 for Parish funds, which is an excellent total in challenging circumstances.
A big thanks and congratulations to everyone involved in both events for all their hard work and perseverance.
